> SBD Directory Installation Instructions

Preliminary Instructions:

a. Upload all files. You may or may not want to upload .htaccess at this stage depending on if you use this for other settings.

Instructions:

1. Create a blank mysql database with a username/password in the usual way.
2. Open up the file mysql.php in any text editor. Edit the following lines with the details of your database:

$DBhost = "localhost"; // Put the hostname here. This will usually be localhost.
$DBuser = "username"; // MySQL username that you have created/used in step 1.
$DBpass = "password"; // MySQL password that you have created/user in step 1.
$DBName = "databasename"; // The name of the database you have created.

3. If you are running the directory in a folder (ie, www.yourdir.com/dir/ rather than www.yourdir.com) follow this step. Otherwise skip to #4.

Open up config.php in a text editor. Where it says $filename = "/"; put in the path to your directory files. Ie, in the previous example where it is in a folder called dir, this would read $filename = "/dir/";

You will also need to change the .htaccess that comes with the script slightly to include the folder the directory is running in. Use the following:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^top/(.*)$ /DIRECTORYFOLDER/index.php?top=$1

Change DIRECTORYFOLDER to the correct path of your script.

4. If you haven't already, either upload .htaccess, or edit your .htaccess to include the following:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^top/(.*)$ /index.php?top=$1

5. Set CHMOD options to 647 for the folders /cateimg/ and /premium/

6. Run setup.php in your browser (ie, http://www.youdir.com/setup.php). Click Next to start setting up your directory.

Note: Once running setup DO NOT use the back button on your browser. If you have missed something you can edit it once the directory has been setup.

Remember to delete setup.php once the directory has been installed.
