> About SBD Directory Software
SBD Directory Script was created to address a few of the major problems with most previous existing scripts. The way we saw it, there were 4 problems that stood out amongst the rest;
So what did we do?
To start with we created a design that looked aesthetically pleasing, and built our directory script around that. We made this design easily customizable so that directory owners and submitters can distinguish their directory from another.
With the design under way we started to think of a new way to encourage category submissions - as we saw this as a vital part of a directories expansion. To do this we enabled users to submit websites along with their unlisted desired category. This means that users do not have to wait for their category to be approved before submitting a site. Though this idea is currently being reproduced in a couple of other scripts, the original idea was created here & still holds as a powerful feature of our directory script.
Solving the above problems, we began with the development of the script, making it search engine friendly in every way possible. This means that there are no dynamic links within your categories, and that the files are static looking .htm webpages. With this completed we spent the rest of our resources making the backend administration dialogue. There is actually a lot more coding in this than the script itself. We spent the majority of our time thinking up new ways to make the script more customizable, and dreaming up easier ways to do the more conventional things.
With all of these enhancements, and more, we believe we have created the best link indexing script on the internet that money can buy.

- Category creation lacked any thought, and as a result category expansion was quite difficult. This posed a major problem with any developing directory.
